Sherbet, el Gato AMable

Hay un gato que se llama Sherbet. Sherbet es un gato anaranjado y él tiene patas (paws) blancas y ojos azules.

Sherbet vive en Los Ángeles, California, pero él no tiene ni familia ni amigos. ¡Qué triste!

Un día, Sherbet va a la playa (beach). Le gusta la playa porque le gusta nadar (to swim) (¡Sí! ¡Es un gato y le gusta nadar!) y le gusta el sol.

Sherbet está muy feliz. Entonces, ve a una chica. La chica no está feliz, ¡ella está triste! Está llorando. Sherbet va a la chica.

—¿Cómo te llamas? –le pregunta Sherbet.

–Me llamo Milly –le dice la chica.

–¿Qué pasa? –continúa Sherbet—, ¿Dónde están tus padres?

–¡No sé! –dice Milly, y llora.

Sherbet le pregunta:

–¿Te puedo ayudar (can I help you)?

–¡Sí! –exclama Milly—, ¡Por favor!

Ellos caminan y caminan. Eventualmente, encuentran a los padres de Milly. Milly llora porque está muy feliz. También, ¡sus padres lloran! Todos están muy felices.

–¡Muchas gracias, Sherbet! –le dice la madre de Milly.

–Nosotros estábamos muy asustados —le explicó el padre de Milly.

–De nada. ¡Me gusta ayudar! –les dice Sherbet.

–¿Dónde está TU familia? –le pregunta Milly.

–No tengo una familia –le responde Sherbet.

Milly mira a su padre y su padre mira a su madre. Entonces, su madre le pregunta a Sherbet:

–¿Quieres tener una familia?

–Sí, mucho –dice Sherbet.

Entonces, la familia de Milly lo invita a ser parte de su familia. Ahora, Sherbet tiene una familia y está muy feliz.
